95% of leggings labeled “Made in USA” aren’t.
They’re assembled here. Or printed here. Or “designed in California.” But the fabric? The labor? The actual work? That’s done somewhere else—cheaply, quietly, and far from any standards you’d want to support.
Here’s what fake “USA” claims look like:
- Imported fabric: Even if stitched here, it doesn’t meet FTC’s standard.
- Assembled in USA: That usually means foreign-made pieces put together here.
- “USA Company” ≠ USA Made: Ownership isn’t origin. Branding isn’t manufacturing.
What real Made in USA leggings look like:
- Domestically milled performance fabric (e.g., Carolina mills)
- Full cut-and-sew process done in-state
- Compliance with FTC labeling requirements—no ambiguity
Why it matters:
- Transparency: Know who you’re paying
- Labor ethics: Support jobs that pay real wages
- Environmental impact: Shorter supply chains, lower emissions
We’re working on our own U.S.-made leggings—no imported blanks, no gray areas. Just the truth.
